The main aim of the project is training of physical-psychical healthy and creative citizens oj Azerbaijan.
Principal aim of “Healthy Education-Healthy Nation” project is to train for Azerbaijan and for the world a progressive individual physically and morally healthy, having high training and creative achievements.
- To develop helthy educational technologies to protect physical and mental health adults and children
- To implement helthy educational technologies (repair and supply of classrooms, providing students active learning environment, medical and psychological control of their development, Integrative learning and PBL methodologies) , to evaluate strengthes and weakness of implemented technologies and to cover all the gaps.
- To contribute to create learning envirenment which supports to educate adults and children to national and spiritual values
Before application of the Project, the material and technical basis of the school and physical-psychical condition of pupils have been investigated. Classrooms have been refurbished according to hygienic requirements. Classrooms have been replenished. There was conducted a monitoring to follow the dynamics of physical-psychical health and social state of the pupils studied in HE-classes at the beginning (October), middle (January) and end (May) of the school-year. At the same time, training successes of the pupils studied in the classes where healthy educational technologies were applied, have been evaluated, which has helped to learn the impact of healthy educational environment on the pupils’ achievements.
Healthy Education-Healthy Nation project has commenced to be applied in 15 first classes of 6 schools since the academic year 2014-2015. In the further 2015-2016 school-year 29 more schools joined this project. So, at present, the project is applied in 68 classes of 3 secondary schools that 53 out of them are the first classes, 15 are the second classes. The project is designed for long-term purposes and is performed by stages.
There are participating 1584 primary pupils in the project. 68 primary school teachers, 35 physyical training teachers, 35 nurses, 35 psychologists have already been trained. Parents of pupils studied in 2168 HE classes, as well as parents of primary pupils at 35 schools have been enlightened in this direction. 19 researchers, doctors, psychologists, sociologists and pedagogues from ATU, ADPU, ABU, ARTPI have been involved.

The First Stage: Some of the first classes created in 35 schools per year will function as HEC. As it is impossible to pilot all the schools due to high density of pupils and other objective reasons, traditional classes are functioning in parallel with the pilot HE classes in 34 schools.
The Second Stage: Improvement of legislative documents for application of Healthy Education technologies on a larger scale
The Third Stage: Transferring schools where healthy education classes are functioning to HE-schools covering I-XI classes gradually. This process will also be applied by stages: Firstly, primary, then general medium, further full secondary stages. Formation of mega-school covering 0-21 ages.
The Forth Stage: Opening of HE-schools and HE-classes in the regions and their extension according to the plan;
The Fifth Stage: Creation of HE-School network covering all the cities and regions of the republic;
The Sixth Stage: Determination of specialties required for teaching Healthy Education Technologies and formation of departments in secondary schools and higher educational institutions.
The Seventh Stage: Creation of healthy environment and learning atmosphere in secondary schools and higher educational institutions;
Exchanging the experience obtained at all stages with the experiences of other countries.
